Lamborghini Veneno

Lamborghini has always ventured into the crazy side of supercars and they might have really gone bonkers with the Lamborghini Veneno.

First off, the price. Their latest limited edition hypercar costs a whopping US$4 million. Okay, given the strong peso, that’s about $160 million pesos. Pretty much Manny Pacquiao-rich territory. That’s just enough to buy you 250 top-of-the-line Mitsubishi Mirages.

But what does $4 million get you? Well, the car has a claimed 221 mph (333.67 kph to us not used to measuring by inches) and 0 to 60 mph (0 to 100 kph) is pegged to be under 3 seconds.

Power is generated by a 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 mounted in the middle – the same one in the Aventador – but power is upped to 740 hp thanks to bigger intakes, better exhaust, and other mechanical witchcraft.  All that is delivered to all the wheels thanks to a seven-speed single-clutch transmission.

While the Aventador looks menacing, the Veneno, with all its sharp and jagged lines, doesn’t look too nice. Its fascia (with the hood taken into consideration), looks like a mangled piece of orc armor. Lambo claims that their all for aerodynamics and channeling air through the right places.

If you’re Manny Pacquiao-rich, however, you still won’t be able to buy one. All three Venenos have been sold to richer folk.
