While everyone else is going nuts for the past year over Hyundai cars like the Tucson, Accent, Elantra, Veloster, and Sonata (all thanks to the new sporty-aggressive design language),  Hyundai’s not stopping to forever rid the stigma caused by the Hyundais of old.

Check out this new hot version of the Hyundai i30. It’s based on the new three-door model and will sport a sportier look over the five-door variant (pictured).

It will pack a turbocharged 1.6L engine from the hot Kia C’eed that the sister company’s already working on. The engine is expected to dish out 200 hp – at par with many turbo 1.6L configurations.

While the car is only under the planning then development phases, it’s expected to hit the European market by 2012. We would probably get one though we had the i20 and that didn’t sell well.
