Like most Pinoys, the nearest I could go to driving a Lamborghini (or any supercar for that matter)  is through video games. But that’s not stopping me from taking a keen interest on them.

Here’s one new Lamborghini that will surely be a stuff of wallpapers – the Sesto Elemento. First showcased as a concept in the Paris motor show, the Sesto Elemento has been okayed for production by the Italian automaker.

The car will be powered by a 5.2L V10 engine derived from the Gallardo. While that would only be dishing out figures north of 500 hp, the key for the car’s performance will be its light weight. Lamborghini is targeting 995 kg for the car.

Now the power-to-weight ratio is expected to propel the car from 0 to 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds. That’s quicker than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

It wouldn’t be luxurious though since it’s being designed to be stripped-out track car with minimal trim and extensive use of carbon fiber. The price, though will be, stuff of luxury – expected to cost to £1.77 million or $US 2.9 million or Php 125 million.

Php 125 million (and that’s not including import duties and tax)? I’d rather buy me three mansions.
