Here’s another car that has minimal chances of being seen here – the BMW 328 Hommage. Currently it’s shown at the Villa d’Este Concours in Italy. So if you want to see the car ASAP, fly there. Hehe.

Anyway, the car’s a open-top two-seater that BMW built as tribute to the old BMW 328 race car that celebrates its 75th birthday this year. The old car holds the highest average speed around the Mille Miglia circuit – a track that was famous during the early half of the 20th century.

The car is powered by a 3.0L straight-six. The body uses plenty of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (as seen in the M6 and the M3) for lightweight purposes. And the carbon weave is visible since no paint has touched the body. Style-wise the car is heavily influenced by the original car with a double-kidney cooling grille up front, and asymmetric windshield, and no doors.

No other details aside from the engine size and configuration has been released so the car might just be one for the show.
